Joanna Dark Elegance - Artistic References with Edge

This was my first time working with Joanna and I was immediately drawn to her quiet yet confident presence. There’s a calm intensity to the way she holds herself, a contrast that became the foundation of this shoot’s atmosphere.

The session begins with simple portraits from various angles in a classic black suit and Rembrandt style light. As the series progresses, from close portraits to mid-thigh and full-figure shots, the styling develops. Skull is introduces adding an enigmatic, symbolic layer and darker atmosphere fallowed by pearls to bring in a touch of delicate sophistication.

The lighting shifts gently throughout the set, with some scenes bathed in softer, natural tones and others with cool blue light filling the shadows, offering a range of moods and emotional palettes for your creative work. The poses are calm, thoughtful, and yet powerful and intentional, designed to evoke a quiet strength and narrative tension.

This pack also features a set of skull arrangements photographed from multiple angles, both on its own and styled with black fabric and strands of pearls. Warmer light from above and shadows filled with moody blue fill light offer a sculptural, symbolic subject perfect for practice in form, shadow, and atmosphere.
